MicroRNAs - these molecules control expression of whole sets of genes involved in diseases, making them targets of high interest. The invention is a Circular anti-miRs that is capable of miRNA inhibition. These circular antimiRs are resistant to miRNA destabilization, degradation and as a consequence of binding are the mRNA targets relieved of their miRNA repression. Regulation of miRNA and thus also regulation of mRNA/protein expression is key in many types of diseases including Parkinson?s disease and cancer.
